Dong Fang Offshore Secures Long-Term SOV Contract with Vestas for Taiwan Offshore Wind Projects

(DFO) has secured a 12-year contract with for a -flagged service operations vessel (SOV) to support the Changfang Xidao and Zhong Neng wind projects. This SOV, one of two that DFO has on order, is scheduled for delivery in late 2026.

The contract reflects the project partners' commitment to quality Taiwanese suppliers and reinforces long-term, stable employment for DFO's Taiwanese and expatriate workforce.

DFO's CEO, Polin Chen, expressed pride in supporting Vestas and emphasized the company's aim to create a safe and high-performing work environment in Taiwan.

Founded in 2019, Dong Fang Offshore has rapidly become a key owner and operator of wind farm construction and support vessels in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This contract signifies its role in Taiwan's expanding offshore wind market.
