Offshore services providers Intermoor and Jumbo Offshore have entered into a strategic alliance aimed at delivering integrated solutions for offshore energy projects, with a particular focus on the floating wind sector.
The partnership combines Intermoor’s expertise in mooring systems with Jumbo Offshore’s capabilities in heavy-lift transport and installation. Together, the companies plan to offer a comprehensive service package across the full lifecycle of offshore mooring operations.
“As offshore projects grow in scale and complexity, collaboration becomes essential,” said David McGuire, executive vice president at Intermoor. “This alliance reflects a shared commitment to delivering smarter, more integrated solutions that reduce interfaces and creates an offering that delivers on our customers’ requests.”
Under the agreement, Intermoor will take responsibility for tow-out, station keeping, and hook-up operations. Jumbo Offshore will manage the pre-lay of deep-water moorings using its DP2 heavy lift crane vessels. Both companies will jointly provide project management and engineering services to clients.
The alliance is designed to support a wide range of floating platform types, including foundations for floating wind turbines. According to the companies, the collaboration is intended to increase project efficiency, reduce operational risk, and enhance scheduling certainty for offshore developers.

The partnership aligns with a broader restructuring by Acteon Group, Intermoor’s parent company, which recently consolidated its activities into four core business segments, including moorings and anchors.
The companies said the alliance reflects growing industry demand for streamlined, cross-discipline offshore project delivery as the floating wind sector continues to expand globally.
