Neoen Secures 164MWp in French Solar Tender, Expanding Renewable Capacity

has been awarded seven and agrisolar projects amounting to 164MWp in the latest call for tenders from France's Energy Regulation Commission. This achievement ranks the developer first in terms of capacity won in this session and ensures its position as the leading awardee in the ground-mounted solar category for the entire PPE21 process, with a total of 642MWp secured.

With the new additions, Neoen's total secured capacity in France exceeds 2.5GW. The solar plants are scheduled to be commissioned between 2026 and 2029, while the 73MWp Tourneuve project will be completed by 2032 due to a grid network upgrade required by the operator.

The awarded projects are spread across various regions, including Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Centre-Val de Loire, Grand Est, Hauts-de-France, , and Occitanie. Four of the projects will be , combining agricultural practices with solar energy generation. Neoen noted that over half of its solar projects in France feature an agricultural component, reinforcing its expertise in agrivoltaics.

In 2023, Neoen recorded a significant milestone, securing nearly 500MW of solar and wind capacity through CRE tenders. The company is on track to continue its success in 2024.
