U.S. clean electricity provider Altus Power Inc announced the commissioning of three community solar photovoltaic (PV) parks in Maine, boasting a combined capacity of 19.1 MW.
This development is expected to enhance access to affordable clean energy for many households in the state.
“These new projects will increase access to the benefits of clean power at a discount for many more households in the state,” stated Matt Marlow, co-Head of Investment and Structured Finance at Altus Power.
He highlighted Maine's position as one of the most active community solar markets for the company.
The newly commissioned plants are anticipated to generate enough electricity to power more than 4,200 homes annually. Altus Power, which initiated a review of strategic options last month aimed at boosting shareholder value and optimizing capital access, has built a substantial nationwide portfolio exceeding 1 GW of operational assets.
The Connecticut-based company operates over 500 projects across 25 states and serves more than 25,000 community solar subscribers.
