British renewable energy company Innova has received planning approval for the Welsh Way Solar Farm project in Gloucestershire, South West England, which is expected to provide power for approximately 2,700 homes.
The Cotswold District Council granted the go-ahead for the solar farm, which will be located near Fairford.
Spanning 19.8 hectares, the Welsh Way Solar Farm aims to achieve a capacity of 13 MWp and will be integrated into Innova's distribution network operator (DNO) pipeline.
The project is projected to be completed by 2026, marking a significant step forward in expanding renewable energy infrastructure in the region.
