Sungrow Power Secures Inverter Supply Order for 902-MWp PV Project in Brazil

Power, a Chinese provider of photovoltaic (PV) inverters and energy storage systems, has announced an order to supply inverter solutions for a 902-MWp project in , developed by .

The contract includes the delivery of 75 units of Sungrow's 8.8 MW modular inverters and 18 units of 6.6 MW inverters, which are designed to integrate the benefits of both central and string inverter technologies.

In addition to the inverters, Sungrow will also supply power transformers, medium voltage switchgears, and auxiliary systems. The company will provide commissioning services, as well as operation and maintenance (O&M) training for the project.

The Vista Alegre solar project, located in the municipality of Janauba in Minas Gerais state, is expected to be connected to the grid by 2025. Once operational, it is projected to generate approximately 2 TWh of clean electricity annually, enough to meet the needs of around 1 million households.

The generated power will be sold under a 21-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with , Brazil's largest primary aluminum producer.
