has finalized land agreements for a site in Jordan intended for the development of a and ammonia production facility, accompanied by an on-site solar photovoltaic (PV) plant.

The agreements were signed with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) and the Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC).

This move follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) established between Jordan Green and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) last October.

The proposed facility aims to produce between 100,000 and 300,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually through water electrolysis, relying entirely on off-grid power generated from PV panels and systems.

The installation will occur in phases, with production anticipated to start by 2029. Under the agreement with ASEZA, Jordan Green will conduct feasibility studies and finalize engineering designs in the coming months.

The company has already completed a technical report and pre-feasibility , while the (EIA) has been conducted by the Jordanian firm Dar Al-Handasah.
