Cadeler has announced a contract agreement with Inch Cape Offshore Limited for the installation of 72 Vestas 15MW turbines at the 1100MW Inch Cape Offshore wind farm, the company confirmed.
The contract, valued between €114 million and €130 million, is scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026. Cadeler plans to utilize one of its two newbuild M-class installation vessels for the project, expected to span approximately 249 days.
“This contract once again illustrates the increasing demand for our new build state-of-the-art vessels and our commitment to expanding our partner portfolio, while strengthening our overall contract backlog,” stated Cadeler Chief Executive Mikkel Gleerup.
Located 15 kilometers off Scotland's East Coast in the North Sea, the Inch Cape Offshore wind farm is a joint venture by Red Rock Power and ESB, poised to provide renewable energy equivalent to powering approximately 1.6 million UK households.
Cadeler highlighted its readiness to meet the growing market demand with the industry's largest fleet of jack-up offshore wind installation vessels, emphasizing its role in supporting the offshore wind industry's expansion efforts.
