D.TRADING, the pan-European trading arm of Ukraine’s DTEK Group, has entered into a virtual power purchase agreement (PPA) with German renewable energy developer ib vogt for 120 gigawatt hours (GWh) of solar energy generated in Poland.
The agreement covers output from ib vogt’s 40-megawatt peak (MWp) Ziebice solar farm, located in the Silesian Voivodeship. The plant, which was fully commissioned in May 2024, produces about 43 GWh of electricity per year.
D.TRADING said the partnership represents a step forward in its renewable energy strategy across Central and Eastern Europe. The company aims to strengthen its role in regional decarbonisation through long-term renewable sourcing and energy trading services.
“This agreement strengthens D.TRADING’s position in the Polish power market and supports our broader strategy to expand renewable energy offtake across the region,” said Stanislav Dudka, head of the EU power desk at D.TRADING. “By combining long-term renewable sourcing with our trading expertise, we create flexible and sustainable solutions for both producers and consumers.”
Based in Baar, Switzerland, D.TRADING provides renewable energy offtake, balancing, hedging and market access services. The company continues to expand its footprint across Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe as demand for low-carbon energy solutions grows.
