RES has been awarded a contract to provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services for Enel’s 400MW Campos del Sol photovoltaic plant, located in Chile’s Atacama Desert. This project expands RES’ managed solar capacity in Chile to 2.4GW, reinforcing the company’s presence in the country’s growing renewable energy sector.

Renato Machado Santos, Director of RES in Latin America, emphasized the importance of the contract: “This growth in Chile underscores our commitment to advancing the clean energy transition in one of Latin America’s most dynamic renewable energy markets. Securing the 400MW Campos del Sol contract not only demonstrates our operational expertise but also the trust our partners place in us to deliver world-class O&M services.

Santos further highlighted the broader impact of the project: “By supporting projects like Campos del Sol, we are driving Chile’s renewable energy ambitions while contributing to a more sustainable and resilient energy system in the region.

The Campos del Sol project strengthens RES’ expanding footprint in Chile, complementing its existing portfolio of O&M contracts for four solar plants in the Antofagasta Region, which together have a combined capacity of 444MW.
