's Industrial Development Agency SA (ARP) has announced that its Gdansk shipyard facility will soon start manufacturing fully Polish-designed transformers for the wind sector.

Michal Dabrowski, president of ARP's management board, shared the news at the Distributed Energy Congress in Krakow, highlighting that the transformers will be developed entirely with in-house resources, from initial design to the finished product.

Dabrowski emphasized the need to expedite these developments to deliver a fully Polish-made transformer to the market.

Dabrowski also noted the significance of the wind tower factory under construction in Gdansk by Baltic Towers—a joint venture between ARP and Spain's GRI Renewable Industries—as a future key supplier to the offshore wind industry.

As part of the state-owned Polish Development Fund Group, ARP collaborates with major Polish institutions to foster business development, providing tailored solutions to address contemporary business challenges. The agency currently manages assets in 76 companies, holding majority stakes in 51 of them.
