French renewable energy firm GreenYellow has received EUR 13 million in mezzanine financing from Zencap Asset Management, part of OFI Invest Group, to support the acquisition of solar projects totaling 26 MWp across mainland France and French overseas territories.
The recent financing will support three separate deals involving solar portfolios acquired between late 2023 and early 2024.
The projects include rooftop photovoltaic (PV) arrays and agrivoltaic installations located in France, as well as on Mayotte and Reunion Island. Together, the acquired assets are expected to generate over 30 GWh of electricity per year.
With these acquisitions, GreenYellow has strengthened its solar and energy efficiency portfolio, increasing its footprint in France.
As of June 2024, the company's portfolio included 1.6 GWp of solar capacity, encompassing both operational and under-construction projects.
