Dutch roof specialist has announced plans to install large-scale photovoltaic systems with a combined capacity of 14 MWp at two plants located in eastern , specifically in Dingolfing and Regensburg.

The systems are set to supply electricity to the plants through a power purchase agreement (PPA) starting in 2025.

The solar facilities will occupy a total roof area of 125,000 square meters and are projected to generate approximately 14.2 GWh of electricity annually.

Sunrock will lease the roof space at both facilities and will handle the installation, operation, and maintenance of the systems.

Sunrock's expansion in Germany follows its recent agreement to install around 23 MWp of solar systems at various Mercedes-Benz Group AG locations. The company has also secured financing of €100 million (approximately $108.5 million) to support the development of projects and bolster its presence in the German market. Construction work for the BMW installations is expected to begin in the coming months.
