Benex Corporation has officially launched a 3.3-MW array in Shiga prefecture, located in southern-central Japan.

The facility, named Benex Konan City 2 Port, is a roof-rented (PV) system designed with two distinct components: one part is dedicated to a power purchase agreement (PPA), while the other operates under a feed-in premium (FiP) programme.

The solar array is situated on top of the UI Konan Logistics Centre Phase 1, a logistics facility developed by Unified Industrial Group in Konan city. The on-site capacity for the PPA section exceeds 2 MW, while the full-volume FiP portion has a capacity of 1.35 MW.

With this latest addition, Japan Benex now owns a total of 43 power plants, boasting a combined capacity of 56.6 MW. Notably, 47.6 MW of this capacity is derived from roof-rented solar power plants located on logistics facilities. This expansion aligns with the company's commitment to and sustainability initiatives.
