Blue Water Shipping and Singapore-based Cyan Renewables have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen their partnership in delivering a comprehensive range of logistical services and infrastructure aimed at facilitating the transportation of offshore wind components.

Blue Water emphasized that the offshore wind industry in the Asia Pacific is poised for significant growth, and the consortium aims to support this expansion sustainably and efficiently. The partnership will also explore opportunities to establish marshalling ports for the rapidly growing offshore wind sector in the region.

Jason Goh, regional managing director for Blue Water in Asia, stated, “We are humbled for the opportunity to join forces with Cyan Renewables Pte Ltd as one of the consortium partners to explore opportunities that will drive the advancement of offshore wind initiatives in the Asia Pacific region. Through this partnership, we aim to address critical logistical challenges and contribute to the sustainable growth of the offshore wind industry, ultimately advancing the region’s renewable energy transition.”

Cyan Renewables Chief Executive Lee Keng Lin added, “This collaboration with Blue Water came at a critical time of robust growth in Asia’s offshore wind industry, allowing us to address the sector’s pressing infrastructure needs and logistical complexities. By merging our expertise and resources in offshore wind, we can streamline the supply chain and ensure that the supply of critical components and services is handled efficiently, paving the way for the region’s renewable energy expansion.”
