Nordex Secures 66-MW Wind Turbine Order for Scottish Wind Farm

has received an order to supply 66 MW of wind turbines for the Douglas West Extension, an wind farm being developed by in South Lanarkshire, .

Located approximately 40 km southeast of Glasgow, the project will feature 12 N149/5.X turbines from Nordex, supported by a 30-year Premium Service contract.

The Douglas West Extension benefits from excellent wind conditions, optimizing the performance of the turbines. It is part of a broader wind farm cluster in the region, with several operational and approved projects nearby.

Nordex will begin delivering and installing the turbines in the summer of 2025, using tubular steel towers with a hub height of 125 meters, in line with the site's total construction height requirement of 200 meters per turbine.
