NKT has initiated the expansion of its cable manufacturing facility in Asnæs, Denmark, in response to increasing demand for power cable solutions driven by Europe's energy transition and electrification needs.
The project, which includes the construction of a new factory hall and advanced testing facilities, is expected to be completed by 2026.
The expansion aims to strengthen NKT's production capacity for medium-voltage power cables crucial for Europe's critical infrastructure.
The company plans to create approximately 100 new jobs as part of the expansion, reflecting the growing market for cable solutions supporting the continent's shift to renewable energy and electrification.
