Luxshare Precision Industry Co Ltd, a Chinese electronics manufacturer and iPhone assembler for Apple Inc, has commenced operations of a new 4.5-MW solar power system at its facility in Zhejiang Province.
The project was delivered by Emeren Group Ltd at the site of Luxshare iTech (Zhejiang) Co Ltd, located in Jiashan County.
Emeren announced the completion of the project earlier this week, detailing that the system comprises a 4-MW rooftop distributed photovoltaic (PV) array and a 0.5-MW solar PV carport, which includes electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.
This initiative aligns with Apple's ongoing commitment to achieve carbon neutrality for all its products by 2030. To meet this target, Apple encourages its global supply chain partners to transition to renewable energy sources.
