Tata Power Renewable Energy Secures 200-MW Hybrid Project in Maharashtra

has received a Letter of Award (LoA) to develop a 200-MW hybrid renewable energy project in Maharashtra, , on behalf of the state-owned Maharashtra State Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). The announcement was made on Friday.

The project was secured through competitive bidding, with MSEDCL placing an initial order for 200 MW and including a greenshoe option that allows for an additional 200 MW of contracted capacity. This hybrid renewable energy scheme, combining wind and power, aims to assist MSEDCL in meeting the state's Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO).

Following the signing of a (PPA) with Tata Power Renewable Energy, the installation of the project is expected to be completed within two years.

With this latest award, Tata Power Renewable Energy's total portfolio has grown to 10.5 GW, of which 5.7 GW consists of projects currently under implementation, further solidifying its position in the renewable energy sector.
