The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) of India has approved the construction of two pumped storage hydropower facilities with a combined capacity of 2.5 GW, aimed at addressing the country's increasing demand for large-scale energy storage. The projects are expected to provide over 15 GWh of storage capacity for the national grid, according to the Ministry
