Austrian utility Verbund AG announced on Tuesday that it has agreed to acquire a 110 MWp portfolio of photovoltaic (PV) projects in central Italy from Ke-reninvestment, the Spanish holding company of Turkish energy investment firm Kinesis Enerji.
The financial details of the transaction, which was completed on July 30, were not disclosed.

The portfolio comprises two projects at an advanced development stage. These projects share a substation and are situated near major consumers, including the Greater Rome area.
Verbund stated that the acquisition will help to geographically diversify its operations and aligns with its strategic goal to generate 25% of its total electricity from photovoltaic systems and onshore wind power plants by 2030.
