Portuguese renewables company EDP Renovaveis SA (EDPR) has signed a 24-year capacity tolling agreement in Arizona for a 200-MW/800-MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). The agreement, made through EDP Renewables North America LLC, involves Arizona utility Salt River Project (SRP) off-taking the electricity stored in the local BESS, EDPR announced on Tuesday.
