JA Solar Technology has announced that it will provide its high-efficiency TOPCon modules, DeepBlue 4.0 Pro, for a new 240-MW solar power project in Tenevo, a village in southeastern Bulgaria.
The project follows a cooperation agreement between JA Solar and Solarpro, a renewable energy EPC contractor based in Eastern Europe. Solarpro will oversee the entire lifecycle of the project, including its design, implementation, and monitoring.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is financing the solar farm, according to JA Solar.
Installation of the photovoltaic modules is scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2024, with the solar farm expected to be operational by the end of the second quarter of 2025.
