Belectric Wins Contract for 135MWp Solar PV Project in Denmark

German engineering company has secured a contract to construct a 135MWp (PV) project in Kolind, , in partnership with renewables company NRGi. The project, slated to commence operations in April 2025, will feature over 220,000 solar modules, marking Belectric's most significant venture in Denmark.

“We are honored to have been chosen for the construction of the Kolind solar farm, which underscores our expertise in managing large-scale projects,” said Thorsten Blanke, managing director of Belectric.

Earlier this year, Belectric commenced work on a 114MW solar project in Borrentin, northeastern , on land with a low-grade agricultural rating. Owned by independent power producer Encavis, the project is expected to deploy approximately 200,000 solar PV modules. Belectric will also oversee operations and maintenance (O&M) for the Borrentin site.

Belectric's projects exemplify efforts to repurpose land with limited agricultural value into sustainable energy assets, supporting the expansion of renewable energy without compromising vital farmland.
