Sungrow Hydrogen, the hydrogen division of China's Sungrow Power Supply Co Ltd, has been selected to supply electrolysers for a significant project aimed at producing green hydrogen, ammonia, and methanol.
The project, developed by state-run China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC), is valued at USD 4 billion (EUR 3.74 billion) and is set to be the world's largest of its kind.
The initiative, known as the Songyuan Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park project in Jilin province, aims to annually produce 110,000 tonnes of green hydrogen, 600,000 tonnes of green ammonia, and 60,000 tonnes of green methanol.
Sungrow Hydrogen will provide its 1,000 Nm³/h ALK hydrogen production system for the project.
Details regarding the financial size of the contract were not disclosed in the company's statement released today. This marks Sungrow Hydrogen's third successful project win in Jilin province, secured through a competitive bidding process.
