ReCreate, a new company founded by Dean Solon of Create Energy and Hamlet Tunyan of RECOM Technologies, is set to establish a solar cell and panel manufacturing facility in Tennessee with an annual capacity of up to 5 GW.
The facility will be located at Create's existing mega-plant in Portland, according to the announcement. The aim is to produce solar cells and modules for markets in North America and the European Union, although specific details were not disclosed.
Create Energy, known for its offerings in transformers, switchgear, PV systems, battery energy storage solutions (BESS), and electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, also provides comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services. Meanwhile, RECOM Technologies, a major European manufacturer with an annual production capacity exceeding 3.2 GW and a presence in over 110 countries, specializes in PV modules, cells, inverters, hybrid storage systems, batteries, and EV chargers.
Recently, RECOM announced a collaboration with Solar Optimum to supply PV modules for a 12.4-MW solar carport system at Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park in Los Angeles.
