HSM Offshore Energy has solidified its expansion plans with a significant long-term lease agreement with Hollandia, securing access to the Stormpolder yard in Krimpen aan den IJssel in the western Netherlands.
This strategic move underscores HSM Offshore Energy's commitment to bolstering its presence in the offshore energy sector, aligning with its burgeoning order book, which includes prestigious projects such as the Thor offshore wind farm by RWE, Ostwind 3, and Gennaker 1 & 2 by 50Hertz.
By securing the Stormpolder yard, HSM Offshore Energy aims to enhance its fabrication capacity to meet the growing demand in the offshore renewable market. The company's focus spans across various segments including Offshore Wind, Gas, Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS), and Hydrogen in the North Sea and Baltic Sea regions.
The Stormpolder yard's prime location, nestled between the rivers Noord, Nieuwe Maas, and Hollandse IJssel, offers convenient access by road and inland waterways, facilitating seamless operations. Moreover, its direct access to the North Sea further enhances its appeal as a strategic hub for offshore energy projects.
Spanning an impressive total area of 30,000 square meters, the yard features a state-of-the-art covered main platform assembly hall, providing an optimal environment for fabrication activities.
Hans Leerdam, Commercial Director of HSM Offshore Energy, hailed the lease agreement as a pivotal step in the company's growth strategy. He emphasized the importance of bolstering yard capacity to accommodate the increasing demands of valuable clients and to leverage the expertise of its skilled workforce.
HSM Offshore Energy, renowned for its integrated solutions in engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of multi-disciplinary offshore projects, is poised to capitalize on this strategic expansion to further solidify its position as a key player in the offshore energy sector.
