Qualitas Energy has successfully secured a 55% stake in the project rights for the repowering of a wind farm located in eastern Germany. The acquisition was made from European Energy, marking a strategic move to enhance renewable energy capacity in the region.
In addition to the transfer of project rights, both Qualitas Energy and European Energy have established a joint development partnership focused on the repowering of the existing turbines. European Energy will lead the development process with the shared objective of installing a capacity exceeding 60MW, effectively doubling the current capacity of the wind farm.

Johannes Overbeck, Head of Investments at Qualitas Energy Deutschland, expressed confidence in the strategic partnership, stating, “We are confident that our strategic partnership will make a significant contribution to the advancement of renewable energies.”
Qualitas Energy's current portfolio boasts 5GW of operating and development energy assets, encompassing 3GW of wind, over 1GW of solar, 242MW of solar thermal power (CSP), 180MW of renewable natural gas, 63MW of battery capacity, and 60MW of hydropower assets. These assets are distributed across Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, Poland, and Chile.
