Liberty Green Logistics, a player in the offshore wind supply chain, has successfully acquired Renewable Strategy Limited (RSL), a cutting-edge digital platform offering comprehensive solutions to the renewables and maritime industries. RSL's portfolio includes marine coordination software, asset monitoring, emissions tracking, personnel records tracking, Global Wind Organization training, consultancy, and analytical solutions.
The digital platform's software has seen deployment in various regions, including Europe, Asia, and America. Notably, RSL serves as the contracted marine coordinator for the inaugural industrial wind farm in the United States, Vineyard Wind 1.
Josh Shapiro, Chief Executive of Liberty Green Logistics, emphasized the strategic significance of the acquisition, underlining Liberty Green's commitment to making impactful investments and acquisitions for supplying solutions to the US offshore wind and maritime markets. This move also marks Liberty Green's entry into providing offshore wind services to European and Asian regions. Shapiro expressed enthusiasm in welcoming RSL to the Liberty team.
Elias Dencker, Managing Director of RSL, highlighted the synergies between the two entities. Dencker sees Liberty's capabilities, ranging from ship ownership, asset management, terminal operations, multimodal logistics, to integrated technology investments, as a catalyst for accelerating RSL's growth and expanding its customer base. Additionally, being a US-based business positions RSL advantageously as it anticipates further opportunities in the evolving US offshore wind and marine marketplace.
