China's CL Energy Storage Corporation (CLOU) has announced securing a substantial order from US battery storage developer Stella Energy Solutions LLC for approximately 480 MWh of containerized battery energy storage systems. The contract also includes the supply of 200 MW of Power Conversion System (PCS) Skid to support Stella's expanding portfolio of projects.
Zhou Han, General Manager of CLOU Energy Storage Product Company, expressed the significance of this collaboration as a crucial step for CLOU's presence in the American market. Stella Energy Solutions, based in Texas, recognizes CLOU's extensive experience in the power industry, robust research and development capabilities, and a professional after-sales team.

Gabe Costello, Senior Vice President of Project Execution at Stella Energy Solutions, highlighted the value of partnering with CLOU, now a part of the Chinese electrical appliance maker Midea Group. The partnership is seen as a strategic move leveraging CLOU's expertise to enhance Stella's capabilities in battery energy storage solutions.
This follows CLOU's announcement in October 2023 regarding a contract to supply a 437-MWh container-type battery energy storage system in South America to an unnamed customer, emphasizing the company's global presence and commitment to advancing energy storage solutions.
