Mainstream Renewable Power said on Thursday it has appointed Julie Berg as its new Group Chief Executive Officer, effective next month, succeeding Morten Henriksen.
Berg, who joined the Oslo-based renewable energy firm in 2024 as Chief Financial Officer, previously held the CFO role at Aker Carbon Capture and was a partner at KPMG.
“Julie’s deep knowledge of our operations and track record in financial leadership mean she will hit the ground running, completing our optimisation programme and driving future growth,” Mainstream said in a statement.
The company has developed 6.6 gigawatts of wind and solar projects to a stage where they are financially close-ready, and Berg’s appointment is expected to support the next phase of Mainstream’s expansion.
Henriksen, who has led the company through several key projects, will step down as part of the transition next month.
