Deutsche Windtechnik has appointed Achim Berge Olsen as chief executive officer of its offshore division, effective October 1, 2025, the company said on Wednesday.
The move expands the management team to support the firm’s plans for international growth in the offshore wind sector. Former CEO Jens Landwehr will transition to a dual role as chief financial officer and chief technology officer. Marcel Meins will continue as chief operating officer and authorised signatory.
Deutsche Windtechnik said the leadership changes are intended to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance as the company broadens its offshore footprint globally.
Berge Olsen brings more than 20 years of offshore wind experience, having previously served as managing director of wpd offshore GmbH and board member of wpd AG. He has also held senior positions at Skyborn Renewables, including CEO and advisory board member.
“As offshore CEO, my focus will be on developing new products and partnerships to secure long-term growth while enhancing existing services for customers,” Berge Olsen said in a statement.
Landwehr described the appointment as bringing “an outstanding leader” to the team, adding that he will concentrate on advancing Deutsche Windtechnik’s financial strategy and technical innovation to drive sustainable growth.
