Polish renewable energy company Polenergia said it has signed an eight-year corporate power purchase agreement (cPPA) worth more than PLN 100 million (EUR 23.4 million) with construction supplies chains Leroy Merlin Polska and Bricoman Polska, both part of France’s Adeo Group.
Polenergia said the contract is one of the largest PPA agreements concluded by the group. Under the deal, Leroy Merlin Polska will receive 41 GWh and Bricoman Polska 4 GWh of renewable power annually, sourced from the company’s Grabowo wind farm and Strzelino photovoltaic farm.
The sale of energy will be carried out by Polenergia’s trading subsidiary Polenergia Obrot, which will also provide guarantees of origin matching the amount of renewable energy consumed by the Adeo Group companies.
The agreement also includes a PPA+ contract to ensure balancing of contracted energy. “The agreement ensures cost stability and predictability of supply in a changing market environment,” Polenergia said in its release.
Polenergia sells renewable energy from 13 wind farms and 8 photovoltaic farms with a combined capacity of 642 MW. Its subsidiaries Polenergia Obrot and Polenergia Sprzedaz are scheduled to merge under the Polenergia Obrot brand in 2026.
