Green Marine UK has acquired operational assets, personnel, and a vessel from Orkney-based subsea services provider Roving Eye Enterprises, the company said on Tuesday.
The deal includes remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), survey equipment, the multi-purpose catamaran Athenia, and a portfolio of existing client contracts. Green Marine said the acquisition will enhance its capabilities in subsea survey operations and bolster its presence across the aquaculture, marine energy, offshore cable, and marine construction sectors.
“These additions will complement the substantial investment Green Marine recently made in the state-of-the-art survey equipment in 2025,” said Jason Schofield, Managing Director of Green Marine. “This move reflects our ongoing investment in expanding our capabilities as offshore operations grow more demanding and dynamic.”
The company has already completed a pipeline survey using a combination of assets and personnel from both organisations, demonstrating operational integration following the acquisition.
Keith Bichan, owner of Roving Eye Enterprises, said: “We’re proud of what we’ve achieved and are very pleased to see our operations, assets, and client relationships transition to Green Marine.”
Founded in 2012 and based in Stromness, Green Marine specialises in marine contracting services with a focus on renewables, subsea cable operations, offshore wind, decommissioning, and offshore engineering.
