The first four jacket foundations for the Dieppe Le Tréport offshore wind farm have been shipped from Navantia Seanergies’ Fene yard in Spain, marking a key milestone in the project’s development.
Each 1,200-tonne jacket is part of the 62-jacket array being constructed by Les Éoliennes en Mer, a consortium made up of Ocean Winds, Sumitomo Corporation, and Banque des Territoires. The jackets were manufactured at Navantia Seanergies’ Fene facility, while the pin piles accompanying them were produced by Windar Renovables in Avilés.
Located approximately 15 kilometers off Le Tréport and 17 kilometers from Dieppe in the French Channel, the wind farm represents a significant addition to France’s offshore wind capacity.
Navantia and Windar highlighted their ongoing partnership with Ocean Winds, noting previous collaborations including floating foundations for WindFloat Atlantic and monopiles for Moray West. They said the shipment underscores their continued commitment to supporting the energy transition through innovation and industrial expertise.
A Navantia spokesperson said, “This project reinforces our dedication to advancing renewable energy infrastructure by leveraging our industrial capabilities and fostering collaboration within the offshore wind sector.
