Chinese manufacturer Dajin Heavy Industry and Singapore-based Chiwan Sembawang Engineering have signed a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at accelerating deep-sea offshore wind power development and expanding global manufacturing capacity.
Formalised on July 9, the partnership will focus on offshore wind jacket manufacturing, collaboration on deep-sea technology, and expanding international market presence. Both companies said the alliance seeks to strengthen China’s capabilities in research, development, and large-scale production of offshore wind foundations and related infrastructure.
The firms described deep-sea offshore wind as “a strategic pillar for the global energy transition and marine economic development.”
They added the collaboration will enhance localisation of large-scale wind power foundation equipment, supporting China’s offshore wind supply chain while injecting momentum into the global offshore wind industrial ecosystem by combining production capacity, technological innovation, and global reach.
The partners said the agreement underscores their,long-term commitment to supporting clean energy development and strengthening industrial collaboration across international markets.
