Renewable energy developer OX2 has named Michal Michalski as executive vice president for southern, eastern, and central Europe, effective immediately, as the company looks to expand its presence in key European markets.
Michalski, who most recently served as chief executive of Polenergia, brings industry experience in onshore and offshore wind as well as solar development. At Polenergia, he was part of the management team overseeing business development across multiple renewable segments.
In his new role at OX2, Michalski will be responsible for development and operational efficiency in Poland, Italy and Romania.
“We see great opportunities to grow our portfolio in these markets. There is a strong push to transition away from fossil fuels and strengthen energy independence,” said Paul Stormoen, chief executive of OX2. “Michal’s experience of being a leader in the industry will be very valuable.”
