The Taaleri SolarWind 3 Fund has announced its investment in the 129MW Hallanvahti solar park located in Joroinen, Finland, approximately 300 kilometers northeast of Helsinki. The project, which has reached ready-to-build status, is currently under construction, with full operations expected by mid-2026.

Developed by Etec Automation and its subsidiary 3Flash Finland, in collaboration with the Taaleri Energia team, the Hallanvahti solar park will feature bifacial panels and single-axis trackers. Once operational, the facility is projected to generate around 140GWh of electricity annually, enough to power approximately 18,000 households. The project is also expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by around 29,300 tonnes annually throughout its operational life.

Engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for the project have been contracted to Eltel Networks.

In addition to the investment, the Hallanvahti project received a €17 million grant from Finland’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment in June 2024, which covers up to 20% of the actual capital expenditures. The remaining funding will come from equity and senior debt.

Petri Isotalus, Investment Director at Taaleri Energia, commented on the significance of the investment, stating, “We are excited to announce this investment. The Hallanvahti project represents a strategic entry into Finland’s solar photovoltaic market.”

The Taaleri SolarWind 3 Fund, which has a target size of €600 million, will remain open to new investors until June 2025.
