Aquila Clean Energy, a European renewables developer and operator, has successfully commissioned five new solar farms in Spain with a combined capacity of approximately 210 MWp.
The new installations are located in the Spanish regions of Huelva, Albacete, Ciudad Real, and Toledo. Together, the farms will generate enough clean energy to power over 104,850 homes annually.
“We have already commissioned more than 400 MW in Spain and we will continue working to increase the amount of clean energy in the Spanish energy mix,” said German Garde, construction director for Aquila Clean Energy in Spain.
With 12 projects already operational in Spain, the company is expanding its footprint with more than 1 GW of solar projects under development in Castille-La Mancha and over 2 GW in Andalusia.
In September, Aquila Clean Energy secured construction permits for an additional 700 MWp of solar photovoltaic plants across the country.
