Emeren Group and Arpinge to Jointly Develop 300-MW Battery Storage Portfolio in Italy

Ltd , a solar and energy storage developer, has announced a partnership with Arpinge to develop a 300-MW energy storage systems (BESS) portfolio in southern Italy.

Arpinge, established by Italian pension funds Cassa Geometri, Eppi, and Inarcassa, focuses on sustainable infrastructure investments.

This collaboration marks Emeren's latest expansion in the Italian BESS market, where it has built a permitting pipeline of 1.37 GW.

The deal aligns with Emeren's Development Service Agreement (DSA) model, aimed at forming partnerships with prominent investors to capitalize on early market opportunities, according to CEO Yumin Liu.

Arpinge CEO Federico Merola noted that the project underscores the company's dedication to supporting Italy's energy transition by enhancing grid stability and integrating renewable sources.

Emeren's other Italian partnerships include collaborations with Srl, , and , further strengthening its footprint in the country's energy storage sector.
