Swedish renewable energy developer AB has received permission to advance the Marktjarn project in northern , which will support a 300-MW electrolysis facility in a local industrial cluster. The Ange municipality issued the approval, allowing the project to move forward.

The wind farm will be developed in collaboration with Swedish forestry company SCA and is designed to feature up to 40 turbines. It is projected to generate approximately 1.1 TWh of annually.

This output will be directed to the adjacent Torpshammar industrial cluster in Ange municipality, located in Vasternorrland County, where France's  plans to establish a green hydrogen hub capable of producing up to 100 tonnes of hydrogen daily.

If the wind project secures all necessary permits, electricity generation could commence around 2030.

In addition to OX2 and Lhyfe, the Torpshammar industrial cluster partnership, launched this summer, includes Velarion Group, a green fertiliser company.

Velarion is set to construct one of the world's first carbon-neutral fertiliser plants within the cluster, utilizing Lhyfe's hydrogen to produce green ammonia for its fertiliser production processes. This initiative underscores the collaborative efforts in the region to foster sustainable energy solutions and contribute to a green economy.
