is set to officially inaugurate its new training centre in Bissendorf, near Osnabrück, , today, October 29, 2024. The opening ceremony will feature government officials and representatives from the wind industry.

The Bissendorf facility will focus on providing technical training and further education for the company's service technicians, specifically targeting maintenance procedures for Senvion and turbines. This expansion is expected to enhance the technical qualification capabilities for employees both nationally and internationally.

The new centre will complement existing training locations in Viöl, which specializes in turbine technologies from Vestas, , Enercon, and Senvion, and Bremen, which focuses on safety training. The Bissendorf site spans 800 square meters and is located in an industrial area, equipped with training equipment tailored for hands-on learning.

During the opening event, attendees will be introduced to the training equipment and course content, including two fully functional Senvion MM 82 and Nordex N90 nacelles. “The turbines can actually do everything except generate ,” stated Momme Feddersen, Head of Training Center at Deutsche Windtechnik. He emphasized that this setup allows participants to familiarize themselves with various control system scenarios and perform tests, including major troubleshooting activities. “Our aim is to train these activities under conditions that are as practical and real as possible.”

Severin Mielimonka, managing director of Deutsche Windtechnik, added, “The quality of our service in the field is a clear indicator that our practical training on original turbines achieves very good results. In Bissendorf, we have created another important learning location based on this training strategy that is already in use at the Viöl Training Center and with additional system technology.”

The company underscores the importance of personalized training, limiting course participants to four or eight for systems engineering and keeping safety weeks in Viöl and Bissendorf to 23 service technicians per course. This new training location aims to reduce travel times for many technicians, thus saving time and lowering CO2 emissions.

Osnabrück district administrator Anna Kebschull commented, “Deutsche Windtechnik stands for high quality worldwide and is a very important player in the successful energy transition. I am very pleased that the construction of the new training centre is an investment in the Bissendorf area. Renewable energies bring economic growth to our region.”
