German developers and Altus Renewables GmbH have joined forces to repower old wind power facilities in Lower Saxony, increasing their combined capacity to 68 MW.

Enova took over operations of the existing power plants in the municipalities of Jembke and Barwedel in early 2024, while Altus will act as the project developer.

The project involves replacing the older V80 turbines with ten new 163 turbines, each with a capacity of 6.8 MW. Once completed, the upgraded facilities will provide green to about 43,000 households.

Altus will oversee project development, and Enova will manage financing, operations, and stakeholder relations for the repowered plants.
