Capital Dynamics Secures EUR 185 Million Loan for Agrivoltaic Projects in Italy

Global private asset manager has secured a EUR 185 million (USD 199.1 million) loan to finance two sites currently under construction in , boasting a combined capacity of 187 MW.

The was arranged with Natixis Corporate and Investment Banking (Natixis CIB).

Located in , these projects are among the largest subsidy-free agrivoltaic initiatives in the country. The solar farms will incorporate agricultural elements, with olive groves planted adjacent to the solar installations and prickly pears cultivated between the solar trackers. Additionally, beekeeping initiatives will be part of the project.

Once operational, the two solar farms are expected to generate approximately 324 GWh of clean energy annually, sufficient to power more than 63,500 homes.

The sites, which were acquired in October 2023, will elevate Capital Dynamics' total gross annual generation capacity in Italy to around 1 TWh.
