Espana has obtained a construction permit for its 100-MW Rocinante project in Puertollano, located in 's Castile-La Mancha region.

The Puertollano City Council announced the permit approval, which includes the construction of the solar farm and its associated substation, with an investment expected to reach EUR 4.1 million (USD 4.5 million).

The project, developed by Solana Renovables SL, a subsidiary of Enel Green Power Espana, must be executed within 12 months, as stipulated by the City Council.

Earlier this year, the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition granted consent for the project.

The Rocinante plant will utilize over 215,200 Longi bifacial solar modules, with Sungrow designated as the inverter supplier. Notably, the solar farm will be constructed on land that has been reclaimed from coal mining, aligning with Enel Green Power's commitment to sustainable energy development.
