Vestas Secures 137-MW Order for US Wind Repowering Projects

Danish manufacturer Wind Systems A/S announced on Wednesday that it has secured a 137-MW order from for two repowering projects in the .

The contract encompasses the Highland North and Highland Cambria repower projects, for which Vestas will supply its V120-2.2 MW turbines. The delivery of these turbines is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025, with commissioning anticipated in the first quarter of 2026.

Additionally, the order includes a 20-year service agreement, reinforcing the long-term partnership between the two companies.

Exus Management Partners previously announced the acquisition of a 306-MW wind portfolio in in March, stating that four of its wind farms would be repowered by 2027. In July, the company initiated the repowering of the 139-MW Twin Ridges wind farm in Pennsylvania, again collaborating with Vestas.
