B.Grimm Power PCL, a prominent Thai energy producer, is exploring investments in renewable energy projects in China and Greece, aiming for “several hundred megawatts” of capacity, as reported by the Bangkok Post.
CEO Harald Link indicated that discussions regarding these potential investments are still ongoing. This initiative aligns with the company's broader strategy to more than double its power generation capacity to 10 GW by the end of 2030, up from the current 4 GW.
As one of Thailand's leading industrial energy producers, B.Grimm Power operates co-generation gas-fired and steam power plants, along with renewable energy facilities. The company has been actively working to diversify its energy portfolio, focusing on increasing its renewable sources. Link stated that the company intends to primarily expand its renewable energy activities overseas, with plans to develop additional solar and wind projects in South Korea.
Currently, B.Grimm's portfolio includes approximately 1 GW of installed solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity, complemented by wind and hydro projects. Additionally, the company has a development pipeline that includes around 1.2 GW of solar and wind projects.
