Orsted has announced a reorganization of its European operations into three divisions: development, generation, and trading & revenue.
This restructuring comes as the company expands into new markets and deepens its presence in existing ones, according to a company source.
The new structure is aimed at simplifying operations and creating a more focused approach to its markets. Orsted has evolved from a development-focused business into a global operator.
In offshore wind alone, the company currently has almost 10GW in operation worldwide, with plans to increase this capacity to 20-22GW by 2030.
The reorganization is expected to position Orsted to better manage its growth and optimize its business model as it continues to scale its operations in the renewable energy sector.
