Suttons Tankers and Nippon Gases UKI Launch HVO Fuel Trial to Cut Carbon Emissions

and have initiated a three-month trial of (HVO) as part of their efforts to decrease carbon emissions within Nippon Gases' logistics operations.

Building on a successful HVO fuel trial conducted last year, during which Suttons Tankers achieved an 80% reduction in carbon emissions across a selection of its fleet, the current collaboration aims to further explore the potential benefits of HVO in their operations.

For this trial, a dedicated fleet of Suttons Tankers' vehicles based in Stockton will utilize a blend of HVO fuel while serving Nippon Gases. Rajat Bhardwaj, ESG manager at Suttons Tankers, noted, “This trial builds on our previous success with HVO, and we are eager to see how it continues to reduce emissions. The initial results are promising, and we're committed to finding sustainable solutions for our customers.”

Joanne Rawlinson, supply chain manager at Nippon Gases UKI, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership: “We are thrilled to partner with Suttons Tankers on this HVO fuel trial. This initiative aligns perfectly with our commitment to sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint.
