Allied Green Ammonia (AGA) has selected Nacap to construct the hydrogen pipeline for its green hydrogen and ammonia production facility in the Northern Territory of Australia. The site, located at Nhulunbuy on the Gove Peninsula, is expected to generate nearly one million tonnes of green ammonia annually.
The two companies signed an agreement for the development of a 58-kilometre-long pipeline, which will serve as a key infrastructure component for the project. AGA highlighted that the project is progressing steadily and is anticipated to reach a final investment decision (FID) within the year.
Earlier this month, AGA appointed Affinity Capital Group as lead manager and financial adviser to assist in raising approximately USD 6.5 billion for the facility's construction and development.
According to AGA, the Gove facility will produce up to 486 tonnes of green hydrogen per day, translating into an annual output of 960,000 tonnes of green ammonia. The project will also utilize 4.75 gigawatts of solar electricity per hour.
AGA said in its press release, “The Gove facility is poised to be a major contributor to the global supply of green ammonia and hydrogen, furthering Australia's clean energy ambitions.”
